Canadian GP qualifying review - Another Vettel masterclass

Sebastian Vettel saw off both Ferrari's to secure his sixth pole in seven races and his first in North America. The Red Bull driver edged out Fernando Alonso by just over a tenth of a second, while Alonso's team-mate Felipe Massa rounded out the top three. Mark Webber failed to match the pace of his team mate yet again and with yet more KERS issues on his Red Bull finished the session fourth. Lewis Hamilton's run of pole positions in Canada came to a timid end as he could only manage fifth fastest, although it has ben argued that his car is running with more downforce should we see a wet race later today. Sandwiching the Mclaren's was Nico Rosberg and he would have been most disappointed with sixth on the grid given his performance in Free Practice. Jenson Button was seventh for Mclaren, eight tenths off Vettel's pace while Michael Schumacher rounded out the top eight.
