I will begin my latest post with an apology, which let's face it, is an odd way to begin. However, I must confess that University work is beginning to creep up on me along with endlessly practising my shorthand. I had promised my friend Dan Magee (sorry mate, I'm thinking of you) to do a write up on whether the new points scoring system has been a success. For now though, I will mainly focus on race previews and reviews, with specialist articles posted once the season has reached its climax in Abu Dhabi in just a week. Then Mr Magee (and hopefully many others), you will get your wish.
So before I preview this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix, here is some exciting onboard footage at the Interlagos circuit:
This is onboard footage of Juan Pablo Montoya catching Mclaren driver Kimi Raikkonen unawares at Interlagos in 2004. Both would be team mates at Mclaren the following season. Montoya went onto win the race, which still remains Williams' last Grand Prix victory.
Lewis Hamilton's last lap at the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix. It doesn't really need much further explanation does it?
This clip is also from 2008; it is onboard with David Coulthard in his final ever Grand Prix but with a twist. The shots are taken from the camera placed on his helmet giving us a clearer insight into what is actually visible for the drivers.
